General Product Safety: Report

EU law on product safety works well and has stopped the marketing of many unsafe products, says this Report. As imports from outside the EU have increased, the efficiency of information exchanges between Member States, carried out through a system called RAPEX, has been key to this.
Report from the Commission to the European Parliament and to the Council on the implementation of Directive 2001/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 December 2001 on general product safety | Dossier 3376 | Status: "Completed Non-Legislative" | Updated: 24 Aug 09
