Health and Safety: Comitology Part Two

The Commission can often make minor changes to EU law where the essentials are not affected. Experts from Member States are consulted - the procedure is called comitology. The system was tweaked in 2006 and earlier regulations,[including many relating to health and safety, the environment and food safety, therefore need minor adjustment.
Regulation (EC) No 219/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council adapting a number of instruments subject to the procedure referred to in Article 251 of the Treaty to Council Decision 1999/468/EC, as amended by Decision 2006/512/EC, with regard to the regulatory procedure with scrutiny (Adaptation to the regulatory procedure with scrutiny - Part Two) | Dossier 3566 | Status: "In Force" | Updated: 20 Apr 09
