Monitoring CO2 Emissions from Cars

The Commission wants to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from new cars to 120 grammes per kilometre by 2012 compared to 186 in 1995. Latest statistics show that emissions fell to 158 grammes per kilometre in 2007.
