Nanomaterials: Regulatory Aspects

The Commission will examine EU law on the protection of heath, safety and the environment to see if changes are needed to deal with specific risks from nanomaterials. The EU is funding research to provide more information on this new technology, which promises great benefits to society but may involve risks that are at present unknown.
