Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Goods: Technical Adaptation VIII

This proposal allows the continued use of cadmium, a restricted hazardous substance, in the manufacture of certain types of LED lights. The exemption would be limited to 2014 after which cadmium substitutes will have to be used instead.
