Occupational Diseases: Recommendation

The development of a European schedule of occupational diseases aims to improve knowledge of the subject at European level (collection and comparability of data); improve preventio by asking the Member States to define quantified objectives with a view to reducing the rate of these diseases and to provide assistance to the workers concerned to enable them more easily to prove the link between their occupational activities and their disease and apply for compensation.
