Additives Labelling Controversy

Scientific studies suggesting that certain food additives present a real danger of making children hyperactive are flawed, claims an Irish scientist. The Professor, from University College Dublin, says that children would have to consume a massive amount of sweets for the additives to take effect. He added that proposed warnings on food products are unnecessary. Certain colourants were linked to hyperactivity in children in a study by Southampton University 2 years ago.
