Band Tours Technically "Hard Work"

The level of physical strain experienced by rock musicians during their work is categorised as medium and even very heavy during tours in a study by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. The main causes of strain are long periods of intense work with limited time to recover between concerts, sequences of intense heartbeat and heat. The study compared the level of physical strain when playing drums to that of bricklaying, laying foundations or a driving a race car in a circuit.
