Building Contractor Fined

A building contractor in the UK has been fined following the death of an employee. The accident happened when the worker fell 5 metres from a ladder while working on the second floor of a house. Investigators found that the ladder had lost its rubber feet and was unsecured at the time of the fall. Health and Safety experts said that, with better planning, stairs could have been fitted before work was carried out.
