Bulgaria Plant Could Close

Two units at Bulgaria’s biggest coal-fired power plant may be forced to close because of environmental concerns. Efforts to reduce sulphur emissions and air pollution at the two units have not met with success. A working group composed of environment, economy and energy ministries is examining how the possible shutdown could affect Bulgaria’s energy supply.
