Bulgaria: Renewable Energy Zones

Bulgaria’s Environment Ministry has announced that it will develop a strategy to designate areas that will host clean energy projects. Bulgaria is committed to producing 16% of its energy needs via renewable energy by 2020, but there is still no firm strategy for achieving this goal. The Bulgarian government is therefore working towards producing a preliminary report that will lead to concrete projects.
