Bulgaria to Get Environment Funding

Bulgaria could receive €200 million in aid for renewable energy and energy efficiency programmes in 2010. The release of this EU money is however contingent on a number of reforms in Bulgaria – the vast majority of EU aid to Bulgaria has been blocked over concerns that the money may be misspent. If Bulgaria passes a number of tests, the money should be released by October 2010.
