Charges Over Building Accident

A UK contractor has admitted breaching the 1996 Construction Health, Safety and Welfare Regulation following an accident in which a worker died. The man died of injuries sustained when he was struck by a reversing telehandler on a building site. The prosecution found that the contractor failed to maintain an effective traffic management plan, which would have ensured safe pedestrian areas.
