A 42-year old construction worker fell to his death yesterday from a scaffold on one of Vienna’s main streets, the Auerspergstraße. An ambulance was called, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. He was on a pipe rack and was involved in dismantling this structure when he fell 15 metres and landed on a concrete staircase. Investigators are determining whether his employers should be charged with negligence.
