Construction Firm Fined

A construction firm in Northern Ireland has been fined for neglecting to properly protect workers during road resurfacing work. As a result of this negligence, a subcontractor died when he came into contact with a truck that touched overhead power cables. The company failed to ensure a safe work area near the overhead power lines, and had not identified the presence of the overhead lines.
