Crane Collapses in Belgium

A crane, which was lifting concrete slabs to the first floor of a building in Genk, Belgium broke yesterday leaving 3 workers trapped under concrete and building debris. All three were injured, one of them suffering life-threatening injuries after his leg was crushed by a falling concrete slab. The workers were freed by members of Genk’s fire service and are recovering in hospital. It is yet unclear why the accident happened.
