Czechs Cut Gas Emissions

The Czech Republic emitted 141 tonnes of greenhouse gases in 2008, a decrease of 4.1% compared with 2007, according to the country’s Environment Ministry. Furthermore, transport emissions dropped in 2008 for the first time since the early 1990s, a decrease of about half a million tonnes. Emissions were 27.6% lower compared to 1990.
