Damages Paid in Malta

A Maltese employee of the Department for Rural Affairs and the Environment has won damages of €96,928 for an injury that he suffered 13 years ago. The man lost his sight in one eye while he was handling an injured bird. The court heard that he had not been provided with the protective clothing necessary for him to do his job without risk of injury.
