Diseased Black Forest Trees Danger

After the death of a 1-year old boy, hit by a 15kg bough which fell from a maple tree, officials in Germany are urgently investigating a disease which is affecting trees in the Black Forest region. This is the first fatality as a result of this tree disease, though it has already caused a number of injuries. On the same day as the tragedy involving the toddler, a 60-year old man was badly injured when a 12-metre tall acacia tree fell on a market stall.
