Dutch Discuss Alcohol Labelling

The Dutch government has decided that the health benefits of introducing extra labelling to bottles of alcohol are unproven. The Minister for Public Health Ab Klink has however written to the Lower Chamber of the Dutch Parliament asking representatives to reconsider their position if conclusive evidence emerges that alcohol labelling provides health benefits. The government is also considering the effect of warning labels on imported bottles of alcohol.
