Europe-Japan Food Alliance

A co-operation agreement has been signed between the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and its Japanese counterpart. The aim of the agreement is to improve the tracking of food around the globe. Both food safety bodies will provide support and co-operation on the collection, analysis and sharing of information. “As crops, animals and food products are transported around the globe, so can the risks associated with the food chain,” says EFSA.
