French Scrap Carbon Tax

The French government has decided to scrap its proposed carbon tax after the ruling party suffered defeat in local elections. The government has said that the proposed energy tax has been being postponed indefinitely. Businesses have by and large been against the tax, arguing that it would damage the competitiveness of French companies.
