Fruit and Veg Allergies Increasing

More and more people are suffering from allergies to fruit or vegetables, according to the charity Allergy UK. In fact, the number of people affected could surpass the number of people suffering from peanut allergies, a common food condition. Typical allergic reactions include itching and swelling of the lips and itching, tingling and swelling of the mouth and throat. These unpleasant sensations typically start a few minutes after eating fruit, vegetables or nuts and finish within an hour. The condition is connected to hayfever, which affects 2 in every 10 people in the UK.
