German Solar Plans

Germany has watered down plans to cut subsidies for solar parks. Angela Merkel’s government now plans a cut of 15% for solar parks built after 1 July 2010, down from the 25% initially proposed. The new proposal could help ease a possible drop in solar-panel sales from the middle of 2010. Germany’s solar industry has protested against the planned cuts.
