Germany’s QS System Gets Stricter

18 November 2009
Germany’s QS (Qualitaet und Sicherheit) system for regulating food quality is to get stricter as of 1 January 2010. QS is an independent, voluntary system that food manufacturing companies submit to in order to guarantee the quality of their products to their customers. Currently, over 95% of the products checked by QS receive the top rating, however more stringent criteria will mean that the top rating is more difficult to receive in future.
