Germany Still Tops Organic List

Germany remains Europe’s biggest consumer of organic goods, with a turnover of €2.8bn last year, closely followed by the UK with €2.6bn. Organic sales are also on the rise in Eastern Europe. The sector looks to be buoyant despite the continued global recession. Furthermore, there are indications that supermarkets are beginning to lower the cost of organic food.
