Green Technologies on the Rise

Utility-scale solar power, energy storage, green vehicles and carbon capture and storage are the growing green technologies to keep watch on, says Daniel Yergin co-founder of Cambridge Energy Research Associates. Although many sectors are embracing energy innovation the ones that will have the biggest impact are utility –scale solar power and green vehicles. Biofules on the other hand are too dependent on commodity prices and roof-mounted small wind turbines for homes were revealed inefficient by a UK study showing that there is not enough wind on people’s roofs to generate power. Water technologies would be a response to a growing concern but still attract very little investments.
