Hungary: Energy Efficient Buildings

10 June 2009
Hungary plans to use the revenues from the sales of carbon credit allocations to finance its programme of improving the energy efficiency of buildings. The carbon credits sold to other governments are expected to generate funds of €98m from 2008 until 2012. The programme, called the Green Investment System, was adopted by the Hungarian government in early June.
