Hungary to Vaccinate Workers
26 August 2009
The Hungarian government has announced its intention to vaccinate 500,000 healthcare and key public sector workers against swine flu free of charge. The vaccine is currently being trialled with a sample of 400 adults and 70 children. The government expects to publish the results of the trials in the coming weeks and intends to make two million vaccines ready by 2 October. The World Health Organisation remains undecided whether a full blown pandemic can be declared.
