Ireland Tackles Water Loss

Ireland has announced an increase of €300m in its programme of replacing water mains over the next three years. The government said that the extra funds were necessary following decades of under-investment. Ireland has a problem with unaccounted for water, with losses ranging from 16.8% to 58.6%. Over the last seven years, some €140 million was spent on water conservation.
