Italian Asbestos Trial Begins 

11 December 2009
The trial of two men for alleged negligence that led to asbestos-linked deaths has begun in Italy. A Swiss man and a Belgian man were indicted for their role in a Swiss construction company, which, it is alleged, did not provide enough safety for workers. The two men deny any wrongdoing. A number of protestors and families of the deceased were reported to have gathered outside the Turin courthouse.
