Italy Working Lunch Culture Criticised

An Italian Minister has criticized the country’s long lunch break culture, which he claims is bad for employees’ health and bad for business. He added that long lunch breaks also lengthen the working day and preventing parents from getting home to spend time with their children. The suggestion however has been met with derision from many parts of Italian society, which point out that Italians typically have a very light breakfast.
