Kellogg's Can't Say "Wholesome"

The UK’s Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) has upheld complaints over misleading adverts for Kellogg’s ‘wholesome’ cookies. Consumer watchdog Which? complained that the adverts misleadingly implied that the cookies were healthier than they actually were. Which? food campaigner Clare Corbett welcomed the ASA’s decision, but said it came too late. FoodNavigator quotes her as saying that “it is unacceptable for businesses to describe food packed with sugar and fat as healthy or wholesome”.
