Level Crossing Dangers Addressed

A number of projects aimed at reducing the number of accidents at level crossings have been developed in the UK. The strategy focuses in particular on level crossing misuse, which routinely threatens the safety of rail travellers and staff. All 128 automatic open level crossings across the UK will be inspected, and a request has been made for a review of line speeds in and around level crossings.
