Environmentalists in Lithuania have vowed to appeal the verdict of Vilnius’s District Administrative Court, which approves new nuclear reactors near the town of Visaginas. They claim that the Environmental Impact Assessment did not contain sufficient data on the environmental impacts of nuclear fuel production, nuclear waste or a large accident. They also argue that the report did not contain any alternatives with which comparisons could be made.
