Malta: Construction Site Accident
02 June 2009
Two construction workers were injured after a roof collapsed at a site in Swieqi, Malta. A 29 year old worker and a 22 year old colleague of his were working on the roof when an internal ceiling collapsed. Both men were immediately transferred to hospital. The older worker suffered severe life threatening injuries, while his co-worker escaped with only minor injuries. The Occupational Health and Safety Authority of Malta and the police are continuing to investigate the accident.
