Milan Hotel Goes Zero-Emission
08 December 2009
Milan is set to open its first zero-emission hotel next spring. Developers say the new hotel, located in the heart of the financial centre, will cut 420 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions a year. The hotel will use technology developed in Japan, which does not burn fuel for heating but instead combines making hot water with air conditioning. The hotel will be powered exclusively from renewable sources.
