Organic Farming to Cut Emissions?

If UK agriculture was completely converted to organic farming, at least 3.2 million tonnes of carbon would be taken up by soil, claims the Soil Association. This works out to the equivalent of taking nearly one million cars off the road, it claims. The Soil Association says that the figures show that agriculture can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions when food is produced sustainably. The UK's Climate Change Act commits the Government to delivering an 80% cut in greenhouse gases by 2050.
