Organic Growth in Finland

After six consecutive years of decline, the number of organic farms in Finland is once again on the increase. Some 252 organic farms have joined the official register this year, however 90 farms ended operations. The Finnish Food Safety Authority says there are around 4,000 organic farms in the country, many of these in the semi-autonomous Åland Islands between Finland and Sweden.
