Poland Mourns Dead Miners

Poland marks its second day of official mourning today for the 13 dead coal miners, killed in an explosion following a methane leak last Friday. 15 miners were also severely injured when the mine collapsed. National flags are flying at half mast on government buildings and entertainment events have been cancelled. The tragedy was the worst mining accident since 2006, when 23 miners died in similar circumstances.
