Polish Chicken Impounded

Authorities in Vietnam seized 48 tons of chicken legs imported from Poland last week for failing food safety standards. The director of Ho Chi Minh City’s veterinary department has confirmed that at least 300 kilograms of the chicken legs had already been sold to customers. The imported meat had passed a first check, but the rotten meat was discovered on a second check - it is suspected that the importer had mixed packages that met sanitary standards with some that did not.
