Radiation Risk Questioned

The health risk from nuclear radiation has been exaggerated and has stopped governments from exploiting nuclear power to combat climate change, says a scientist. The professor of physics at Oxford University says that low levels of radiation can be easily tolerated by the human body. However, nuclear crises have created widespread fear and distrust among the public about nuclear power, meaning there is pressure on governments to keep radiation at a minimum.
