Report Proposes Green Taxes

A report from Britain’s Green Fiscal Commission, a body which includes the British government’s top environmental adviser, Lord Turner, Environment Agency chairman, Chris Smith and leading opposition politicians has proposed €170 billion of new green taxes. It is planned that these tax rises will be offset with cuts in other taxes. The report suggests that moving to a greener economy will create almost half a million jobs.
