Safety Fears over Forklift

A UK company has been fined after it allowed an untrained employee to use a fork lift truck. The accident happened when the truck overturned, severely injuring the worker’s arm. Health and Safety officials said that while a risk assessment and a system of working with fork lift trucks had been put in place, neither was adequate. Officials concluded that the company has failed to identify the potential dangers for workers operating the trucks.
