Scottish Renewable Energy

Scotland hopes to create 25,000 jobs in the renewable energy sector by 2020. This figure is contained in a Scottish government discussion paper on the transition to a low carbon economy, which highlights the ways in which Scotland could benefit from this. The paper also estimates that low carbon goods and services could be worth an estimated £12 billion by 2015.
