A recent inspection of more than 160 construction sites in the Manchester area of the UK has led to over 50 enforcement notices being issued. Inspectors noted that the majority of building sites were well operated, and that safety procedures were observed. They warned that sites which failed to meet acceptable standards were putting workers’ lives at risk.
