Slovenian Minister Resigns

Slovenia's Environment Minister has resigned over the failing to improve waste management procedures. Press reports say that his resignation came just hours before parliament was about to dismiss him. The Court of Audit ruled in January that the ministry had failed to improve procedures that would enhance waste selection. Parliament is expected to confirm a new Environment Minister later this month.
