Poor Weather Hits Sales

Freezing weather has been identified as the cause of a 5% decrease in the UK restaurant trade. Some industry experts say that the weather in January was so bad that it is a surprise that sales figures are not lower. The recent introduction of a higher VAT rate has also been identified as possible factor in declining sales.
