Spanish Consumer Nutrition Study

A new study suggests that Spanish consumers would be happy to pay extra for food products that carry better nutritional information. While the ‘light’ claim is the most widely used form of nutritional claim in Spain, new research suggests that consumers would like more detailed information. The study, published in the journal Food Quality and Preference, focused on Spanish market, but researchers believe that the findings could have implications for the European food industry as a whole.
