Tax Plans to Hit Jobs

Romania’s proposed junk-food tax could result in significant unemployment, warns the food industry. It claims that up to 20% could lose their jobs as a consequence of rising prices. The proposed new tax on fatty, salty and sugary foods is due to be implemented in March 2010.
